The problem
Owner reports are either raw statements or defensive essays. Neither makes the owner feel informed.
The outcome
A one-page narrative: what happened, why, what you did, and what happens next month.
The prompt
Write a monthly owner update for a short-term rental property using the data below. Structure: (1) headline result in one sentence, (2) what drove it, (3) what we changed, (4) what's planned next month, (5) anything we need from the owner. Professional, plain language, no jargon, no defensiveness. Maximum 350 words.
Data: [PASTE revenue, occupancy, ADR, maintenance spend, reviews, notable events]Example output
"June delivered $6,410 in revenue, 8% ahead of June last year, on slightly lower occupancy at a stronger rate…"
How to run it well
- Lead with the result even when it is bad. Owners forgive numbers; they do not forgive being managed.
- Always include a 'what we need from you' line — it keeps decisions moving.
The Executive Brief
One decision-grade briefing, every Monday.
What moved in demand, cost and regulation last week — and the one call worth making because of it. No news roundups.
